Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Haridwar - Barkot (Drive (Drive 210 Kms. / 7-8 hrs approx.)

Arrival at Haridwar Bus stand / Railways station, where you will be met and assisted by our representatives. And towards Barkot. Upon arrival check into your hotel. Overnight in Barkot.
(Barkot: Barkot is situated at an elevation of 1,220mts above sea level in Uttarkashi district. Barkot is one of the important destinations of Uttarkashi district with good accommodation facilities available. Barkot has an ancient temple and it is situated 49km from Yamunotri.)

Day 02: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot [Drive 36 kms. & 6 kms Trek (one side)]

Morning after breakfast drive to Hanuman Chatti. Arrive Hanuman Chatti and take local jeeps for Janki Chatti (It helps to reduce the trek upto 8 kms), trek start from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. Arrive Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila, After taking bath in Jamunabai Kund's warn water and having "Darshan" of pious "Yamunaji" returning to Hanuman Chatti. Later drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay in Barkot.
Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again.
Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.
Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.
Overnight in Barkot.

Day 03: Barkot – Uttarkashi (Drive 140 kms / 5-6 hrs. Approx)

Today morning have your breakfast after that check out from the hotel/Camp and drive to Uttarakashi.On the way visit very famous Shiva Temple Preketshwer Mahadev (only 130 steps). Upon arrival Uttarakashi visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple after darshan continue your journey check into the hotel day for rest and stay overnight at the hotel.Uttarkashi: It is perched at an elevation of 1,352mts above sea level at a distance of 78kms from Hanuman Chatti. Uttarkashi is a picturesque spot well connected by motorable roads with major destinations of Uttarakhand state. It is situated on the banks of the holy Bhagirathi River. Uttarkashi houses one of the reputed mountaineering institutes of India i.e. Nehru Institute of Mountaineering.
Overnight in Uttarakashi.

Day 04: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi. [Droive 100 km one side / 3-4 hrs. approx.]

Today early morning we proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts), enroute we enjoy picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. Upon arrival perform your prayers & pooja darshan after Gangotri darshan we return to Uttarkashi. overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Gangotri Temple: The temple, constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi.
Submerged Shivling: Submerged in the river, this natural rock Shivling is the place where, according to mythology Lord Shiva sat when he received the Ganga in his matted lock. It is visible in winter months when water level decreases.Kedar
Note: Ganga Sangam: Around 100 Yards from the Ganga Temple flows the river Kedar Ganga. Starting from the Kedar Valle, this river meets the Bhagirathi on its left bank.
Overnight in Uttarakashi.

Day 05: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (Drive 205 km / 06 hrs. approx)

Enjoy morning breakfast at Hotel and And Transfer to Guptkashi by drive. Upon arrival check into your hotel, stay overnight at the hotel.
(Guptkashi has a great importance quite like that of Kashi. The ancient Vishwanath temple, Ardhnareshwar temple and Manikarnik Kund, where the two streams of Ganga and Yamuna are believed to meet, are the main places of attraction in Guptkashi. It is believed that after the battle of Mahabharata, the Pandavas wanted to meet Lord Shiva and seek his blessing. But Lord Shiva evaded from Guptkasi to Kedarnath as he did not want to meet the Pandavas, the reason being that although they had fought for the right cause, they were also responsible for destroying their own dynasty. Guptkashi is situated at an elevation of 1319 mts. The one Stupa is situated in Nala which is quite close to Ukhimath. Some local people call it the grave of Rana Nal.3 kms. from Guptkashi, the remains of Ramgarh(in Ronitpur) still seem to echo the love between Lord Krishna’s son Anniruddha and Vanasur’s daughter Usha.)

Day 06: Guptkashi - Sonprayag – Kedarnath (20 km TREK one way)

After breakfast drive to Sonprayag. From where you will start your 20 kms trek to Kedarnath. You can hire a Doli or a horse, for your trek (Cost Not Included). Mandakini, one of the main tributaries of the Ganges originates at Kedarnath and flows through Gaurikund. "Jai Bholenath" chants echoes in the mountains. The mists envelop the mountains and slowly lift away. When you can view the picturesque beauty you are left mesmerized.
Upon arrival check-in into Hotel. Dinner & night stay in Hotel.

Day 07: Kedarnath – Guptkashi | (approx 27 km DRIVE + 19 km TREK)

After breakfast, you will start the return trek of 20 km from Kedarnath to Sonprayag. You can hire a Doli or a horse, for your trek (Cost Not Included). The vehicles wait for you in Sonprayag Car Parking and you’ll drive to Guptkashi. Dinner and Overnight at Guptkashi.

Day 08: Guptkashi to Joshimath (Drive 140 km 5-6 hrs Approx).

Today early morning have your breakfast then after breakfast drive to Joshimath. Upon arrival check in into your pre booked hotel. Dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Badrinath one of the 'Four Dhams' is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus the place got the name "Badri van", meaning "forest of berries".
Tapt Kund: Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.
Narad Kund: A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.
Brahama Kapal: A flat platform on the bank of river Alaknanda. Hindus perform proppitiating rites for their deceased ancestors.
Sheshnetra: 1.5kms. Away is a boulder having an impression of the legendary serpent, better known as the Sheshnag's eye.
Charanpaduka: 3kms. Away is a beautiful meadow where the footprint of Lord Vishnu is seen on a boulder.
Mata Murty Temple: Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples include Sesh Netra Temple, Urvashi Temple and Charanpaduka.
Mana Village: Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.
Vasundhara: As the name suggests, vasundhara is a magnificent water fall. This place is 5 kms. From Badrinath out of which 2 kms. Is motorable upto Mana.
Bhim Pul: On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.
Vyas Gufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.
Overnight in Badrinath.

Day 09: Joshimath – Badrinath Darshan (45 kms one way) - Rudrapryag | (Drive 120 km / 04 Hrs. Approx)

Today early morning visit for Badrinath temple for darshan perform your ritual pooja and darshan after darshan overcome to the hotel have your breakfast and check out from the hotel and Drive back to Rudrapryag. Road journey is about 04-05 hours. Upon arrival in Rudrapryag, transfer to prebooked Hotel. Dinner & Night stay in Hotel.

Day 10: Rudrapryag - Haridwar Departure (Drive 220 kms / 06 hrs).

Morning breakfast at Hotel, Afternoon check-out from Hotel & Drive towards Haridwar. Upon arrival in Haridwar Bus Stand / Railway station for home.
